Many industries across Australia continue to perpetuate a ‘blokey’ culture, posing ongoing questions for practitioners: how do we attract and retain a more diverse workforce in these environments? For women, LGBTI+ community, culturally diverse Australians and people who have an experience of ‘otherness’, what works in making masculine workplaces attractive? How do we help diverse candidates overcome perceived barriers to entry? How do we shift the culture to ensure we retain diverse recruits? We’ll consider these questions and more in this discussion.
