The DPA have teamed up with Workplace Respect to bring you a practical, inspiring session on creating a genuine culture of respect in our workplaces.
As practitioners we need to know how to meet our positive duty obligation to provide a safe, harassment-free workplace, and we want to understand: what does great look like? How can we build our maturity beyond merely complying with our obligations, and into leading practice?
The team at Workplace Respect will take us through a practical, in-person workshop including:
Creating a practical vision for a culture of respect, and planning successful interventions and culture shifts,
Using a maturity model to measure and identify the levers in your organisation that contribute to your Respect at Work plan,
Understanding the legislative changes, and how practitioners can work together with their health and safety teams to identify and manage psychosocial risks and hazards,
Planning a seamless integration by finding and activating your champions and identifying alignments with programs and strategies, such as leadership development,
Case study examples featuring what worked well and what didn’t, and what other organisations have learned.
Workplace Respect co-directors Kat Baulch, Jacque Lachmund and Matt Pronger will share their extensive research and experience in practical workplace change. They will be joined by special guests who are paving the way in this space (stay tuned!), to share their practical tips and lessons learnt to help progress your vision of a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace.
Where: In-person event, hosted by DPA sponsors Urban Utilities at Level 10, 31 Duncan St, Fortitude Valley (250 metres from Fortitude Valley Train Station)
