The DPA is proud to partner with the Metro Inclusive Teaching Centre to bring this unique event to our members and guests.
The Metro Inclusive Teaching Centre (MITC) is dedicated to support, inform and educate our community from children to adults about inclusive practice and diversity. MITC offers a practical, hands on experience to help understand what it is like to live and work with a disability.
Opened in 1983, the MITC offers a unique program to all community members from corporate businesses to schools and universities. Their program delivers a different approach to understanding what it is like to live and experience a disability. This includes physical disabilities, vision impairment, hearing loss, muscle and coordination skills, ASD, learning difficulties and emotional health.
Attending this program will help you to understand the needs of co-workers and clients who have a disability to better inform your policies and practices towards creating an inclusive workplace for all.
