Diversity Practitioners Association members are invited to join a virtual roundtable discussion on successful D&I events.
Our roles often mean organising, contributing to or participating in events around key D&I occasions like International Women’s Day, IDAHOBIT, Reconciliation Week and more. While these events are rarely the hallmarks of our strategic work, there are often many eyes on these occasions and much time invested in their planning and organisation. Of course, we want them to be meaningful and impactful in furthering our conversations around diversity, equity and inclusion. The presence of social media in our lives means missteps are at risk of being highlighted online and people aren’t afraid to call out efforts that miss the mark.
In this virtual member discussion, together we’ll explore how to celebrate D&I occasions with meaning & impact. Come along ready to share your thoughts on:
What makes a D&I event (that’s centred around a key occasion) meaningful and impactful?
What have you implemented (or experienced) that’s worked? Or not worked?
As participants/speakers how can we shape the inclusivity and impact of events?
